The other day I had a bit of time to kill, so went for a wander along Bermondsey Street. It is really worth a visit as there are some lovely little shops and places to eat. There is also a market on Fridays at Bermondsey Square, and good food on the weekend along Maltby Street. Not forgetting The White Cube Gallery and, of course, Borough Market around the corner.
There is an adorable children’s shop called Tin Lid, owned and run by a lovely lady called Ghislaine. The shop has an eclectic mix of clothes and toys, some by locals, which is great to see and gives a nice feel of supporting the local community of creative talent. Tin Lid opened 6months ago and is doing very well. Ghislaine is passionate about the world in the shop she is creating and I’m sure it will grow and blossom.
