If anything is going to brighten up January, this is. From Thursday to Sunday this week (14th-17th) you can see light installations in London by some of the world’s mose exciting artists. The installations will be across the West End and Kings Cross for 4 evenings and it’s absolutely FREE!
You’ll be able to see many installations like a light garden in Leicester Square, floating creatures around Piccadilly, light graffiti in Kings Cross which is interactive with your phone torch and much much more.
You can get locations and times for the event here and download a map here
There is also an app you can download from the link to the above site.
Fingers crossed the rain stops for a few evenings and we can wrap up and see the lights!
Californian brand, Quinn + Fox arrives and goes live a week today! We’re super excited to be one of their UK stockists this season. As with their previous collections, items are made in limited quantities so once they’ve gone that’s it. We are especially loving the Bandit Bear jumper.
Stock will go live on the shop in the afternoon, so make sure you make a note to look.
Remember we will also be at the London Mothers Club event this Sunday, we’d love you to come and say Hi. It’s sure to be a jam packed day, full of fun and treats.
LatteMama are having a pop up on the Kings Road from 15th – 28th August, in conjunction with Popup Britain. A great part of London for a bit of shopping and a chance to browse through some cool AW13 stock, from the likes of Mini Rodini and Indikidual. Our Lil’ Beans/Le Gun t-shirts will be there with the lovely LatteMama too, so you you can add a bit of guilt free shopping in to the mix, as all profits of them go to charity. A visit is a definite must.
We like the collections from Danish brand Gro. The collection conisists of clothing for boys and girls age 0-10yrs. They are made using lovely soft fabrics organic cotton, fine woven cord and cashmere. The designs are contemporary and comfortable, with some sweet prints.
They also have a collection called ‘sprout’ which is for older girls.
Enjoy the sun this weekend and if you’re going to Playtime Paris, have fun and hope you find some gems!
This weekend we’re off on our bi-annual trip to the UK kids trade show – Bubble London. We’re excited to see what some of our favourite brands have in store for S/S 14, and hopefully discovering some new little gems.
I’m sure we’ll be letting you know our ‘loves’ on the blog next week.
Aime, Petit Aime and APC are having their annual summer sample sale on Saturday and Sunday! Pick up some Bon Ton, Kidscase, and Gold goodies for the Lil’ Beans and some Isabel Marant and APC for you and the boy! TIP: Early bird catches the worm.
We will also be sending out our next newsletter at the weekend. If you haven’t already signed up to receive it, then please do (on the top right of this page). It will have exciting news about our Lil’ Beans online store launch, which happens in a few weeks!!!
So, this Saturday 11th May 2013 sees the opening of a weekly food market in Crystal Palace. As a local, this is rather exciting. Quite a few of my friends like to go to local food markets on a weekend, take a wander and taste locally made treats. It’s great to do with kids too, especially when the weather is nice (fingers crossed for sun on Saturday).
You can make advanced orders and collect produce from some stall holders, which is a great idea and many stalls are on a rotation. Also, a great idea as it gives variety from week to week for customers and allows many great local producers a chance to get familiar with and support from the community.
If you are a South Londoner and foodie then take a trip to Crystal Palace and support the small businesses! Also, a tip for the 1st June sees the amazing treats from Cookie & Biscuit on the market. A take on classic American deliciousness, NOT to be missed!
