Lil’ things from Father Rabbit

There are lovely clean, fresh products for your lil’ ones from Father Rabbit.  Founded in 2010 by husband and wife team Claudia Zinzan and Nick Hutchinson, after the birth of their son, in New Zealand.  They share their living space with their shop, and have lovely, clean products for the whole house.  It reminds me a bit of Bailey’s Home which I have adored for years.

The pyjamas are a collaboration with New Zealand based childrenswear designer G Nancy.  Totally gorgeous and classic.  Go and browse their online shop it’s a breath of fresh air.

We love this site ‘Not a Bad Dad‘.  Founded by Simon Tyler in April 2012, it’s an online magazine offering great articles and cool finds for dads and their kids.

There is also a shop by Not a Bad Dad called ‘Father‘.  It has a selection of great hand picked products, full of design and quality.  The site has a cool feature where you can enter the birthdays you need to remember and it will send you a reminder a couple of weeks before the date, with a selection of gift suggestions.  These guys are truly creating something special and not forgetting the dads.

Any guesses on what Lil’ Bean 3 will be?  Due 23rd November 2013.

If any of you are free this morning, you should head to Pram Jam’s event at Screen On The Green 11am.  It’s a baby friendly screening of ‘Birth Story’: Ina May Gaskin & the Farm Midwives.  You can watch a trailer here http://birthstorymovie.com/trailer/

Hope you have a happy and sunny weekend x

I’m in love with these custom made shoes from Zuzii.  Ryan Campbell sources supplies from around the U.S to make these adorable shoes from her studio, creating a wonderful home made business.  Zuzii also make accessories, just as cute as the shoes.

New local food market for South London!

So, this Saturday 11th May 2013 sees the opening of a weekly food market in Crystal Palace.  As a local, this is rather exciting.  Quite a few of my friends like to go to local food markets on a weekend, take a wander and taste locally made treats.  It’s great to do with kids too, especially when the weather is nice (fingers crossed for sun on Saturday).

You can make advanced orders and collect produce from some stall holders, which is a great idea and many stalls are on a rotation.  Also, a great idea as it gives variety from week to week for customers and allows many great local producers a chance to get familiar with and support from the community.

If you are a South Londoner and foodie then take a trip to Crystal Palace and support the small businesses!  Also, a tip for the 1st June sees the amazing treats from Cookie & Biscuit on the market.  A take on classic American deliciousness, NOT to be missed!
