We like these fake fur hats for all ages from SpiritHoods.  Made in Los Angeles, the company gives 10% of net profit from each sale to the conservation of endangered animals.  Like our Lil’ Beans/Le Gun tee’s it’s a bit of ‘shopping for a good cause’, and receiving a great product in return.

Star Wars Mini

I found these Star Wars books about Darth Vader’s relationship with Luke and Leia as little kids while looking for a Father’s Day gift.  The books by Jeffrey Brown are fun for both us parents and the little one’s, and bring a light hearted touch to the ‘dark side’.

cosy Padraig slippers

Padraig Cottage began slipper creating in North Vancouver 1977.  They have grown from one lady, Helen making them to 30 local artisans and staff.  The slippers are hand made and hand dyed in small batches, so each is unique.  They come in sizes from newborn through to adults, in many colour ways.  My lil’ beans have them, they wear well, and I can’t recommend them enough.

oh my, these vellies

vellies_neontoeShier shoes are the company that bring vellies to us.  They are the original ‘desert boot’ made in Namibia from vegetable dyed leather.  The vellies are made by hand by a group of eight gentlemen in a town called Swakopmund.  20pairs get made a day from start to finish.  The shoes are unisex and also come in kids sizes, so you can match!  The neon toe vellies are what caught my eye.  The company have a donation service, so when your lil’ ones outgrow theirs, they can be given a new home to a child in need.  For this good deed, you receive 10% off your next purchase and a postcard from the new owner.  Sweet idea, but I think I’d find it hard to be parted from the adorable little things (hoarder of my babies things).
